Sailing into Sunset: Capturing Vagary The Label’s 5th Birthday in Newport

Back in April this year (2025), I had one of my very first jobs as a behind-the-scenes content creator. I remember feeling so excited to have an event like this to kick off my new business. I flew down to Sydney and made my way to Newport to capture Vagary The Label’s 5th birthday celebration, held aboard the stunning Zephyr Charters boat.

As we sailed into the afternoon, the humid air softened into a refreshing sea breeze, and the glowing sunset created the perfect backdrop for a golden hour cruise. An incredible group of women, who had supported Rachel and Vagary The Label over the years, gathered together to celebrate five years of her vision and success. 

Influencers posed effortlessly in the golden light, dresses flowing as laughter filled the deck, and you could tell everyone was in their element. In the background, the smooth sounds of Scotty Sax lifted the energy. My personal highlight was the live saxophone, it’s impossible not to love that. Then, when the sun went down he played iconic tracks (yes, even Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass) that was getting everyone on their feet. 

In my eyes, it wasn’t just a party. It was a celebration of creativity, friendship, and the power of community. And for me, it was one of the very first events that confirmed that l was on the right path.
